1) Uninstall Whatsapp

2) Restore your history

4) Rename the backup file
Search the last day you saved your chat then rename the file name using your file management app from “msgstore-YYYY-MM-DD.1.db.crypt “to “msgstore.db.crypt”.
5) Reinstall Whatapp

If you are done with the renaming of backup file then again uninstall your Whatsapp and then reinstall it. Again chat history recovery message will appear to you, again tap on the restore button and until the messages are restored. You will get your messages back.
