It’s imperative that we stand up to bullies. No one deserves to be treated badly, regardless of who they are or what they have done. Bullying can have a serious impact on a person’s life, and it’s important that we do everything we can to stop it.
An Indian Sikh man was assaulted in New Jersey by a man who allegedly asked him to remove his turban and get on his knees.
The victim, said the incident happened on the day of September 4 while he was working on the roadside with four other members of the Sikh community.
The video shows the attacker repeatedly asking Singh to take off his turban and get on his knees. “This is the foundation of our faith, our belief,” said Singh, defending his turban in the face of the stranger’s criticism.
The attacker berated Singh before finally walking away from the scene.
“I haven’t done anything bad to anyone, why am I being targeted by this person?” Singh asked later. “It’s just because I’m wearing a turban.”
He was definitely merciful to leave him in the end. It clearly shows he never wanted to get into trouble but the white guy forced him into it.
